About Cole Art Studio

Cole Art Studio is located on the lower level of Cole Gallery, in the heart of downtown Edmonds, just blocks from the ferry landing.  In our on-site studio and online format , we offer a variety or workshops and classes for all levels of students, from the absolute beginner to the advanced student.

At Cole Art Studio, we encourage, engage, educate, and inspire our students in their artistic process no matter their level or preferred style in a warm and inviting environment.  We keep our classes smaller so our students can get the attention they deserve.  We also offer workshops in all mediums including oil, acrylic, watercolor, drawing, and more.  Cole Gallery artists make up the majority of our teaching team, but we also bring in wonderful outside instructors to add even more variety to our workshop offerings for in person and online classes.

Cole Gallery is the largest gallery in the surrounding area.  The gallery features nationally acclaimed Northwest painters and sculptors as well as carrying artists from other regions.  Many of the paintings come from the influences of the Impressionists with a wide range of subject and style. The gallery also features an exquisite collection of realism from contemporary masters of still life and landscape.  www.colegallery.net

Origin Story: Cole Gallery & Art Studio

Denise Cole, owner and operator of Cole Art Studio, opened Cole Gallery & Artists' Supplies in December of 2006 with a vision for bringing a national class gallery to Edmonds. Cole Gallery is Denise's second gallery venture, having been a co-owner of a studio gallery in the area for several years prior to finding the perfect location to fulfill her dream. As an integral part of the Northwest art scene, Denise has been an acclaimed watercolorist and oil painter, juror and instructor for two decades. Utilizing her relationships developed with fellow painters, sculptors and glass artists from across the Northwest, Denise successfully brought on some of the country's finest artists to the gallery. She continues to expand the gallery adding new artists and pieces all the time.

Not only did Denise want to open a world class gallery in Edmonds, but she also wanted a place for students to come and learn in an encouraging environment from the best artists around.  Just as Denise continues to expand Cole Gallery she continues to grow her art school with in person and online art programing now called Cole Art Studio.
